Description

Albumen photographs published 1870 - 1875, of Pompei. The photographs measure 14.7 x 10 cms, on yellow/orange card measuring 15.5 x 11 cms. An incomplete set, one card with damaged corner, all else in very nice condition, the cards numbered between 5020 to 5081, and no. 5257 to 5580. One card with the descriptive printers label on the verso, printed in red and gold on cream. Most cards are architectural, three cards of fossilized remains.
