8vo, color frontis and color and b&w illus throughout. Brown cloth covers with title in gilt on spine. Spine very gently bumped at base, o/w cloth covers very good +. Internally, pages very lightly toned at top and right hand edges, o/w very good +. Pictorial dj with title in brown on dark brown ground on front cover and spine. Dj slightly rubbed at edges and small chip at base of back cover, o/w very good+. Meggitt copy, signed by him and dated Dec. 1966. Mountford made a long camel journey extending over some months with the Pitjandjara men and women in their own country around Uluru.
