Description

Small 8vo, vii, 336pp, . Blindstamped brown cloth covers, with gilt wheat emblem at front and back covers and gilt wheat sheaves at gilt decorated spine. Gilt slt dulled at spine; internally, very good, with no fox spotting. Signed by Robert Weir at the title page. Weir was a painter of the Hudson River School, and professor of drawing at West Point from the 1830's to the 1870's; he painted a mural over the altar in the chapel entitled "Peace and War".
