A rare book, more so in the original printed boards, as this copy is. 12mo, 74pp, folding map. The first 35pp deal with the colony at the Swan River, now Perth, Western Australia. Rules & regulations are laid down by the Colonial Office, but more importantly it includes Thomas Peel's terms and conditions for emigrants choosing to settle his lands, including costs of passage & wages. Orig. tan printed paper over boards, spine expertly restored. The back board is an advertisement for "The Emigrant's Guide to the United States of America..." by S.H. Collins. Spine expertly restored. Ferguson numbers rather confused, but include 1348a; 1354; 1355; 1357; 1358 1363.
