Description

Blumner, F. (View on the Hudson.) Lyon & Co, Spring St., NY ca. 1860. Folio size lithograph with original hand color, 24 1/2 x 18" with standard margins. Scattered light foxing, slt. scratch left hand side of the print in the sky. In early hogarth frame. A large view, drawn after the style of Currier & Ives. Taken from the Garrison side of the Hudson, most probably from the old Ware estate. On the left is West Point on the bluff, with World's End in the distance. Abundant transportation is pictured - a steam train on the right side of the river, clipper ships and a paddle steamer on the Hudson.
