Orig. red gilt cloth, spine uniformly and lightly sunned; a very nice copy indeed. A fascinating primary source about Tibet, which had not previously been explored or mapped by a westerner. Dr. Hedin's works are quite scarce & sought after for their account of Hedin's courage and their thorough ethnographic & scientific record.
