A very bright copy of an important book - one of the scarcer Antarctic titles. Amundsen was the first to reach the South Pole. Bright dark blue gilt stamped cloth, both the blue & the gilt very bright. The ffep & half title of Vol II are slt. foxed, & the front hinge is cracked, sml. rub on one board foredge, slt. defects in an otherwise outstanding copy.
