With the map of the United States showing Mexico owning the area which would become California by the terms of the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo of 1848. Mexico here extends all the way up to the southern border of Oregon Territory; British Possessions are to the east, and "Canada" is at the extreme east near Montreal and Quebec.

Complete with the 16 maps by Boynton. Small 8vo, 180 pp, b&w frontis, b&w illus throughout. Blue pictorial paper covered boards. Covers dusty, spine rubbed. Hinges are starting, early signatures loose but holding.
