With an Index listing the names of Melrose citizens who fought. 8vo, xxix, 292pp. Green cloth covers with gilt inscription printed on front cover "Presented to Edmund C. Donble by the Town of Melrose inrecognition of his Services During the Great Rebellion of 1861-65" Gilt title on green cloth, cover and spine. Restored crack on spine , hinges both back and front strengthened with cloth tape. Bumping at edges dark brown front end papers ruffled, with small tears at edges. o/w very good condition. a scarce regimental history that was not recorded in Broadfoots list of civil war books.
