Running to a Fire in New York.
New York: Harper's Weekly, 1872. Full page illustration of an early steam-powered engine drawn by horses, rushing through a NY street. An advertisement for "Accident Insurance Co." and "The Fire Insurance Co." are mounted on a couple of the buildings. Busy street scene, with people jumping and falling out of the path of the fire engine. 13 1/2 x 9 1/2", black and white wood engraving published in Harper's Weekly in 1872. Very good condition.
