Very bold screen print poster designed in the same time period in which Emory Douglas was making his revolutionary art, with women with upraised fists in bright red below and poster title in white on bright green above. The title is possibly inspired by the collection of feminist essays 'Sisterhood is Powerful: An Anthology of Writings from the Women's Liberation Movement', a best seller & one of the first widely available feminist anthologies. It included historical documents & contact information, discussed radical feminism, discrimination in politics and in the workplace, and inspired women to join in Women's Liberation. 15 x 22 1/4".
