Complete board game, an unusual survival from the earliest part of the 20th century, with great cover illustration of a dress-uniformed West Point Cadet and cannon at Trophy Point, West Point, N.Y.; the object of the game "...is to reach West Point (showing the entrance to the Academy)..."; players track their markers around a grid of numbers, having also hazards and bonus squares; moves determined by spinning for number of moves; with four differently colored wooden markers, (plus two spares) a spinner with card backer; rules printed on the inside cover of the box, board game itself printed in bright colors on glossy stock within the inner box-base; game number 4036 from this noted American manufacturer of toys and games; box 8 1/4" x 11 3/4" and about 1" depth; box with color, gilt-emphasized image and rules; some edge, tips wear and rubbing to box, especially corners, one edge abraded, splitting along the margin, does not affect pictorial; spinner 'arrow' lays loosely on top of spinner shaft, not secured, spinner base rubbed from use; cover and game imagery still bright and in good condition and an interesting early 20th juvenile entertainment survival.
