Ten postcards showing paintings by Eschrich of exterior and interior views of My Old Kentucky Home on Federal Hill in Bardstown, Kentucky, the home where Stephen Foster (1826-1864) supposedly composed the song of the same name while visiting a relative. Includes poster bedstead, double canopy walnut bedstead, second story northeast room, mahogany pieces in dining room, back hallway, front hallway and parlor, ruins of old springhouse, grave of Sen. John Rowan, wing built in 1793, and a tunnel of trees leading to the house. Each 3 1/2 by 5 inches. Standard postcard markings on verso. Item #17231
