Wall, Bernhardt, 1922. From the book entitled, 'Windjammers'. This book is known as an 'etched book' because every page, including the text, is made from an etched plate. Although Wall planned 325 copies, probably not more than 100 pulls were made from the plates.

With text below the illustration by Bernhardt Wall (1872-1956) American artist, etcher and producer of fine press books. A large clipper ship in full sail, with well wishers waving from the dock, at the top of the page, with text pertaining to the speed and elegance of clipper ships bound for California and its gold, below. Image size: 4 7/8 x 6 7/8". Paper size: 7 1/2 x 11" Very good condition. Item #17965
