Signed copy by the author of "Studies from Ten Literatures" including France, Spain, Italy, Portugal, Switzerland, Germany, Scandinavia, Poland, Canada, Hyphenated Poets (dual citizens). Inscription reads: "This reminds me of the Brave Old World. We'll never see it again. Affectionately, Ernest Boyd." Boyd was a famous Irish-american literary critic active during the period of the Irish Literary Renaissance during the early part of 20th century. From the library of Thomas Quinn Curtiss, the theatre critic for the International Herald Tribune in Paris for 50 years and a good friend of Boyd's. He was given much of Boyd's library on Boyd's death. 8vo, 333 pp, (12 pp index), green cloth with gilt titles on spine (a little dull), uncut foredge. Very good condition. Item #19335
