Melbourne: J. Botterill, Ca. 1875. Albumen print of a woman, possibly a nurse, with a large bonnet with wide white border framing her face. J. Botterill was a commercial photographer active in Australia. During the late 1860s he worked as part of Dunn, Wilson and Botterill, moved on his own to a studio at 19 Collins St. East from 1870-74 and from 1875-79 he was based at 12 Beehive Chambers, 116 Elizabeth Street, Melbourne (Davies and Stanbury 1985, p.136 and 156).
