Each part includes four copper engraved portraits & letterpress, many with advertising errata for Charles Tilt. Most are titled on the wrappers, although the 10th part has the title page for the published book supplied. (later parts also include a landscape print). The portraits are after paintings by many of the day's artists, Charles & Edward Landseer, David Roberts, G. Cattermole, S.A. Hart, Mrs. Carpenter, C.R. Leslie. OCLC: 37193052. Copy belonging to Miss Gelston, descendent of David Gelston, (July 4, 1744, Bridgehampton, Suffolk County, New York – August 21, 1828, New York City), an American merchant and politician who represented Suffolk County in the NY State Assembly from 1777-1785, as well as a delegate to the last session of the Continental Congress. Original pale yellow printed wrappers (Part 1 & X a bit toned), back wrapper of part X reattached archivally. Very clean overall, prints with tissue guards, with a very little foxing on a few plates.
