Sml folio, frontispiece portrait, 203pp, Index [ii], all edges gilt. Gray green paper covered boards, title in gilt at front board. Covers rubbed, front board marked with ink. Internally, front inner hinge starting, but holding; first signature detached. With an inscription to Belle Talmage, dated 1893 at ffep. The Talmage family is one of the oldest Long Island families, with Thomas Talmage a founder of East Hampton and the town's first recorder, of Easthampton in 1649.
