Philadelphia: 1843. Paperback. A stunning color engraved portrait by Asher Durand titled 'Mr. Macready as Macbeth', from a painting by J. Neagle, published 1827, in this issue of Graham's Magazine. Portrait bust depicting the actor with Scottish plaid at his shoulder. Asher B. Durand (1796 - 1886) was an American painter of the Hudson River School and one of the most highly regarded American engravers.
