The majority of the pamphlet consists of the 'List of Companies Floated in Australia for Prospecting and Mining in Western Australia"; with the name of the company, the capital and share amounts, names of officers, and the names and depths of shafts sunk (pp 5 - 48). Followed by 4 pp advertisements; How to Reach the goldfields; Notes on the Cyanide Process for the Extraction of Gold from Ores" (with full page sketch of gravitation plant); and a 'Simple summary of Modern Cyanide Plant and Process" and Miscellaneous Information, including computation of coins & bullion; wells & tanks; the gold yield of Australia (1893 - 1895); Western Australian gold exports; Information for Prospectors; and Advice for Intending Prospectors. This last category includes, "with the exception of the Kimberley District, traveling in Western Australia is perfectly safe, therefore firearms are quite unnecessary" (p76).
8vo, 80 pp,  folding maps. Printed pink paper wrappers, text in black at front & rear wrappers, with advertisements on wrappers for stock brokers, life insurance, and mining machinery suppliers.
