Item #21766 "Spin Cricket" Childrens, Geographia Ltd.

"Spin Cricket"

London: Geographia Ltd., 167 Fleet Street, London, E.C.4, Ca. 1915. Paperback. A game card with a spinning wheel which lists a variety of cricket plays- bowled out, run out, caught, stumped, LBW, with the number of runs along the outer circumference. Pointers at opposite ends of the wheel state "Gasworks End" or "Pavilion End". The directions list 7 points, the first being 1. Decide whom the game is between (i.e. Australia v. England, Lancashire v. Yorkshire, etc.). A poor substitute for playing cricket yourself, but one can imagine an eager young cricketeer stuck inside on a winter's day, enjoying this with a friend. Card measures 21 x 13 cm, printed in green and red. A scorebook on the verso is headed "How to rule up your Scorebook". A little marked but overall very good. Item #21766
