Children's alphabet book illustrated in color, with black and white images at the bottom of each page for coloring or painting, with rhymes by Flo Lancaster, pictures by H. M. Talintyre.
Outsize 8vo,  un numbered pages. In the original color pictorial paper covered boards. Illustration of seated Uncle Oojah selling artwork displayed on the sidewalk as cat and bear observe from the top of a wall. Instructions "Hints on Drawing & Painting" at the title page; the last page titled "Uncle Oojah's Letter" in which children are encouraged to write to the publisher about the characters they prefer. Corners very gently rubbed; very small mark lower edge of front board. Internally very bright and clean, none of the dotted b&w images have been colored.
OCLC: 314954084 records only the copy at the National Library of Scotland which records the publishing date as 1946 though Talintyre started drawing Oojah in 1929. No other record of this title was found. Trove records holdings of 2 annuals but not this title. Very good + condition. Item #22006
