London: Reeves & Hoare, May 9, 1822. A dissected folding map of London from the Lea River in the east to Battersea in the west, with Hampstead in the north and Greenwich Park in the south. Full contemporary color with a key explanation "Explanation of colors" at the lower left.

Fascinating early map depicts the East India docks on Blackwall Reach and the West India import/export docks on Limehouse Reach. Of added interest is the pencil manuscript additions laying out the railroad routes seemingly added at the time they first came in.

Some splitting on the folds, dusty with some brown markings to the canvas backing. Folds into an elegant 4 1/2 x 8" cover. Complete with the original paper slipcase. Slipcase a little worn, but holding. Good + overall. Item #22123
