Sir Philip Warwick (1609 –1683), was a Royalist who followed Charles I to Oxford in the English Civil War; he was one of the king's secretaries during negotiations with the Parliament. He fought at Edgehill, the first battle of the War, and served the king until his execution; he was later knighted by Charles II.
