The Anti-Slavery Record: "Slavery. The Right of Northern Interference"

New York: The American Anti-Slavery Society, 1837. Wraps. The monthly publication was issued for only 3 years by the American Anti-Slavery Society, one of the most prominent abolitionist organizations, which called for called for an immediate end to slavery. It was founded in 1833, and eventually lead by William Lloyd Garrison.

While small in format, this publication carried some excellent articles, often printing portions of slave narratives as they were published.

Vol III, No. IV, April 1837, Whole No. 28. 16mo, 12pp. Yellow printed wrappers, with advertisements for publications of the society on the rear wrapper. Wrappers detached , wrapper a bit dusty, general fox spotting throughout text, a few ink spots. Good + overall. Item #22789
