You Like Me? Washee Washee. Laundry Lists for a Year. With Wise Saws and Modern Instances.

Chicago: The Reilly & Britton Co., 1905. Paperback. Die-cut shaped booklet in a stereotypical Chinaman design with his pigtail trailing down his back on the rear cover. The text contains blank laundry checklists for men, women, linens, shirts, undershirts, etc., to be used when sending out laundry. Each page comes with a pithy saying on the bottom. "It's the little things that tell - especially the little brothers and sister"; "Many hands make light work", "Where there's a will there's a way -- to break it."; "Man is judged by his works and woman by her ability to work him". 27.5 x 13 cm, 30 leaves, borders with Chinese letter characters. Front and back cover images chromolithographed. With a hanging ribbon on the back. A few flattened creases at the "head", otherwise very good. Staple bound. Very good overall. Item #22797
