Sparta, Wisconsin: Northern Engraving Ltd, 1992. Limited edition. Hardcover. Unusual advertising piece, featuring a large color lithograph of a well known Impressionist painting of a scene in the south of France, printed on recycled aluminum. The use of the image is courtesy of the Art Institute of Chicago, from the Joseph Winterbotham Collection, 1937.166. The painting depicts a furnished room, French doors open to the balcony, and a lovely view of the Mediterranean beyond. The reproduction includes the Dufy signature within the painting and the artist's name printed at the lower right.

Housed in a folio folding cardboard portfolio which opens to a color folding brochure printed on 5 panels. The text, in French, describes the founding of Northern Engraving in 1908 and the services the company provides. Color printed photographic illustrations, the folding brochure laid down in a heavy cardboard portfolio. Text block ends with decorative silver engraved medallion, laid down. Limited edition of unstated number. Art Institute of Chicago credit label inside front board, explanation of the design concept printed in white on back of rear board. 11 1/2 x 15" Very good condition. Item #22898
