New York: 1907. Paperback. 1st edition of this scarce arms catalogue. Bannerman held his goods at what became known as Bannerman's Island, in the Hudson River just above Cold Spring, N.Y. The front page is a page from the New York Herald for Sept. 23, 1906, an article about Bannerman entitled "Fitting Out Revolutions. Unique Business Conducted Right on Broadway with a Storage Island up the Hudson." Every type of armament, from canons to rifles, to mess kits to military ornaments. 4to, 260pp, illustrated with woodcuts throughout. Printed on newsprint, so somewhat tanned, internally good, small closed tear at edge on first 5 pp.. Orig. red paper covers, w/ gilt title. Spine chipped, reinforced with old sticky tape at two spots, covers creased. Good + overall. Item #23119
