The NYMA is a private boarding school about 60 miles north of New York City, founded by a former a Civil War veteran and Commandant of Cadets of the nearby Peekskill Military Academy in 1889. In 2015 NYMA closed due to low enrollment and filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. It was subsequently sold at auction to a group of Chinese investors for $15 million, and reopened for the 2016/2017 academic year with a small enrollment.

In the original printed paper wrappers, the title printed in maroon in an ornate font on an unfurled banner on the front wrapper. Wrappers chipped and rubbed, front wrapper loose.
