Paris: Ca. 1960. Signed original hand colored lithographic art print by the renowned Hungarian and French artist Marcel Vertes (1895-1961) of a bikini clad blonde woman wearing a French beret and strolling along with her bicycle, likely in the south of France.
In Paris, Vertes lived and worked in the Latin quarter, rapidly making his reputation in the art world which included Toulouse-Lautrec. Vertes portrayed scenes of Paris street life, women and later, circus and cabaret acts.
26 1/4" by 20". Signed twice, once at the lower left and again, in pencil at the lower right. Very good condition. Item #23486
