Paris: Ca. 1960. Signed original hand colored lithographic art print by the renowned Hungarian and French artist Marcel Vertes (1895-1961) of a two dogs, looking like Jack Russell's, dressed in fancy clothes, dancing, while a pigeon watches them from a perch.

In Paris, Vertes lived and worked in the Latin quarter, rapidly making his reputation in the art world which included Toulouse-Lautrec. Vertes portrayed scenes of Paris street life, women and later, circus and cabaret acts.

17 1/4 x 22 1/2". Signed in pencil at the lower right. Some light foxing in the bottom margin of the image. sml. dark mark in the right margin, a little toned. Good + overall. Item #23497
