Constitution Island is the site of the Warner House, where the writers Anna and Susan Warner, lived. Anna Warner is known for the hymn 'Jesus Loves Me' written in 1860. The sisters donated Constitution Island to West Point in 1908, and taught Bible classes to West Point cadets for forty years.
