It shows the river and its shores in pictorial form, highlighting individual landmarks and towns, with marginal key notations to aid in identification of various places.
12mo, 32pp descriptive text, folding hand colored map, 6 x 149". Original tan gilt stamped publisher's cloth. Rebacked with the original cloth laid down, with "Hudson Riv." manuscript title on the spine in early ink. Cloth lightly soiled; first fold of map reinforced with tissue internally. Map header with slight even tanning otherwise a very nice copy with subtle coloring. With the bookplates of Julia Parker Wightman and Oscar Barck.
