London: R. Hindmarsh, 1796-1840. Hardcover. Sibly [1757 - 1840] was a Swedenborgian, or follower of the writings of the 18th century theologian Emanuel Swedenborg. He became very involved in the New Christian Church in 1787 and managed a congregation by 1790. He was responsible for much of the liturgy of the New Church and hence the sermons in this volume, each paginated individually.
