A scarce children's illustrated primer, not recorded in Trove, with color animal woodblock illustrations, the letter K illustrated by a kangaroo: "the kangaroo is a very queer little creature. It is found in a place called New Holland" (p6).
Each page with two color wood block animal illustrations and text. The complete alphabet in upper and lower case, and multiplication table are printed inside the rear cover.
Tall 8vo, 13pp. Printed pictorial yellow wrappers, with publisher's advertisement on rear wrapper. Added period cloth spine. Tears at edges, some tears repaired with old sticky tape. Not a great copy, but being so rare, is worth adding to any K for kangaroo collection.
