West Point Hop card, U. S. M. A. 1925 Spring Hops, extra-illustrated.

Philadelphia: Elliott, 1925. A skillfully extra-illustrated hop card for the USMA 1925 Spring Hops. Pen & ink sketches include a stylized image of a cabaret girl, arched cat with the phrase 'yes or no' under its belly, a squirrel, and a Scotty dog licking at a spilled liquor bottle with caption, 'His master's vice.' The cover image is sedate in comparison - a young lady wearing a 3 tiered party dress and a dress parade hat. The names Glasgow, Lamb, Hendircksen, Lindsey, Willems, Allen, G.M., and Christie appear next to the dances. The only indication of the young lady's name is the signature "-- Z" by the dog cartoon.

Cream card cover, with girl in yellow dress on a black background, tied with the original gold cord with the original pencil still attached. 2 3/4 x 2 3/4". 8pp, slightly dusty, removed from an album with old glue marks. Otherwise very good condition. Item #24382
