Popperfoto, 1910; 1996. Limited edition. Printed from the original negative, an original photograph of Robert Falcon Scott whose ill-fated Terra Nova expedition to the South Pole lasted from 1910 to 1913. Number 9 of a limited edition of 400 copies, printed in 1996.

This memorable b&w image shows Robert F. Scott, one of the five men who attempted to reach the South Pole, at his desk writing in his journal and holding his pipe. The rear walls are lined with book shelves and clothing and supplies. Scott died of starvation and exposure in a tent in late March 1912. Months later, a search party found the team, along with their last letters and journals.
