Ca. 1660. A wonderfully woolly depiction of a slightly bemused looking bison, by a 17th century artist. Depicting the powerful animal in profile, head turned slightly to gaze at the viewer. At the left is a tree with a long tailed opossum suspended upside down from a branch; at the right side is a large bird resembling a pelican.
