"Sanoid" C. C. & Co. Reference Bandage. Printed illustrated bandage.

England: Ca. 1850s. A large illustrated triangular bandage with lithographed reference chart and directions of how and where to apply the bandages on the human body.

The bandage depicts 6 full length male figures with numbered wounds or fractures and appropriately applied bandages, which correspond to the numbered reference table printed at the center. The reference table records 30 injuries to various parts of the body, from fracture of leg and thigh through to a fractured ankle.

Some hand stitching at the top covering an early tear, and a small split upper left edge only not affecting the images. Registered number 12576 printed in the lower right corner. Measures approximately 50 inches across the base and 23" high. Not recorded on WorldCat. Good + condition. Item #24725
