Complete with the folding map, this is the annual commercial guide to local businesses, sites and events. It provides information on everything from the Acclimatization Society, Banking, British Government, Cricket Clubs, Crown Lands Offices, Immigration, Mail Services, Mining statistics, Penal establishment St. Helena, Ports & Harbors, Railways, Sailing Directions, Tide Tables and Woollen manufacturing.

The Almanac was published early each year with important events from the year before; it is supplemented by a directory of government and non-government professions and businesses.

12mo, v, 416pp, 100pp (Directory), 1 color plate, illustrations, folded map, all edges marbled. Three quarter blue leather and buckram boards, gilt title on spine. Paper label at spine is titled, "Brisbane, Queensland Australia". Slightly rubbed corners; internally bright and clean. Deaccessed from the Western Reserve Historical Society Library, with embossed stamp at title page.
