Paris: 1767. Botanical engraving showing 4 trees, including a Chinese lychee tree at the lower right, a jackfruit tree and two types of cotton tree. Lychees attracted European attention as early as the 16th century when Spanish priests visiting China praised the fruit.

With the additional caption at the top: Deux Sortes de Cottoniers, Twe soorten van Kottoen-Boomen; and below "De Ja-ka" and De Li-chi".
