Ca. 1875. Large albumen elevated view taken from Mrs. Macquarie's Chair across Woolloomooloo Bay to Potts Point and Elizabeth Bay. With tree tops in the foreground, the point in the middle ground and ships in the bay in the distance.

Henry King (1855?-1923) was a successful New South Wales photographer with studios in George Street, known for his Aboriginal portraits, popular scenic views, and Sydney street scenes. He made his living doing portraiture, but is best known for the high quality of his outdoor and city views.

Titled in the print, 26. Pott's Point, Sydney H. K. 8 1/8 x 5 1/2". Not found in Trove. Very good condition. Item #24871
