In September 1931 Japan invaded Manchuria immediately following the Mukden Incident; it established the puppet state of Manchukuo. The occupation lasted until 1945.
Page 37 with much added manuscript lines over Taiwan, with 2 incomplete dark blue rubber stamps, and arrows pointing from China toward Taiwan. Pencil markings on p23 to the north of Peking.
