"Round the Dominion" An Interesting & Instructive Game.
England: Chad Valley Company Ltd., 1907. A board game based on the map of New Zealand and sailing to ports around the world, from both Wellington and Auckland, with distances in miles. Other locations include Sydney, Melbourne, Hobart, Cape Horn, San Francisco and around New Zealand. The obstacles include storms, wrecks, collisions, and contrary winds. The board folds in half, with a label on red glossy paper, 14" square when opened. Small red box with label, to contain markers, dice & dice shaker. Box 3" square x 1 /4" deep, with the rules printed on green paper and affixed to the lid of the box. It's possible that the markers and dice are not the originals, but they are early. The National Library of New Zealand illustrates this on their website with different markers.
Game board dusty, edges rubbed, with slight corner crease on two corners. Box quite battered, with 2 small splits.
