c. 1880. A photograph of a tram with "Brunswick" along its side, and 'Sydney Road' visible above the tram window, as well as Chinese characters.
Tram travels along a busy street in front of a large bank on the corner with many horse drawn carriages, pedestrians, and a man on a bicycle - possibly a penny farthing. A pole for electric lines positioned in front of the bank. Ads on the side of another building: 'Craig Williamson Thomas'.
8 x 5 5/8", silver gelatin photo, watermarked paper at lower left "L + L" with two crossed swords. Bottom edge slt. chipped. Otherwise very good condition. Item #25068
