Part of the Robert Martin series on American rural cemeteries, this work on Greenwood Cemetery in Brooklyn NY, with fine engravings by James Smillie, the noted engraver of landscapes, and bank note engraver. With a maple leaf impression still retaining some original color, made by a previous owner & titled in pencil, 'Valley of Connecticut 1862' on the title page tissue guard.

4to, 95pp, map with vignettes, and 19 full page steel engravings. Three quarter green leather and gilt decorated green cloth, with gilt illustration on front board titled "Entrance to Greenwood". Boards present but lacking spine Plates mostly bright and clean. As is. Good condition. Item #25111
