A complete portfolio of 30 sketches made by the noted Boston architect, artist and designer during a European tour. Schweinfurth is noted for his design for the American Fine Arts Society Building in New York City, the Brookline Police Station, and buildings on the Wellesley College campus.

Plates include architectural sketches of details of cathedrals in France: Paris, Poitiers, Angouleme, Lamballe, as well as French manor houses & chateaux; Italy: Venice, Florence, Urbino; and Spain: Cordoba.

Folio, title page, 30 plates. Housed in a portfolio bound in tan gilt cloth with gilt lettering and cherubs flanking the title on the front board. Portfolio boards rubbed and marked; damp line at top corners of plates, not intruding into the images. OCLC: 1512145. Good + condition. Item #25141
