New York: Modern Age Books, 1939. Wraps. Almanac and guide to important events in New York City at the end of the Great Depression, offering "a thoughtful analysis of this City's World's Fair" and "extraordinary disclosures gathered from all points and corners of the metropolitan area".

The lengthy section pertaining to the World's Fair with much useful information: transportation (with map in text at p135), the metamorphosis of the site from dump to fair grounds, the protection of visitors, map of the main exhibit area with an alphabetical index, and concludes with an "apotheosis on hamburgers & hot dogs", and a list of "symptoms of superiority psychosis" (pp131 - 152).

Cartoon illustrated frontispiece and numerous sidebars with New York historical trivia, illustrated by the WPA Art Project of the City of New York. Small 8vo, 153 pp. Color illustrated printed paper wrappers, slightly sunned at spine. Very good condition. Item #25499
