Newburgh, NY: Remillard, c. 1860s. Two carte de visites of Washington's Headquarters during the American Revolution. Both are of the front of the house, taken in summer and fall, with cannons moved around out front, one card shows a fence built around the stone monument to the right of the house. Verso of one card has the photographer 'Remmillard' printed and two addresses: No. 82 Water St., Newburgh and the other Quebec address crossed out, pencil notation. The other card pencil notation only. Both 2 1/2 x 4", very good condition. Item #25545
