c. 1820. A hand colored aquatint of the waterfall at "Powerscourt" in County Wicklow, Ireland. A beautiful vista overlooking the valley and surrounding mountains, with the falls at left and a man and dog in foreground.
On verso, handwritten verse of the hymn, "When Spring unlocks the flowers to paint the laughing soil,..." by Reginald Heber [1783 - 1826]. Image (8 3/8 x 6 5/8") laid on paper (8 5/8 x 7 3/4"), with hand drawn border and title in manuscript below. Image very good condition, paper toned. Otherwise very good condition. Item #25707
